New Strategic Scientific Workshops Selected

In mid-June, the Executive Board of the Bayreuth Humboldt Centre selected two new Strategic Scientific Workshops to promote excellent research collaborations at the University of Bayreuth. Both Workshops, which will take place on UBT campus, involve interdisciplinary approaches and international perspectives, and therein emphasise the need to address vital questions in research and society on a global scale.
The selected Workshops:
- Prof. Dr. Eva Lohse (Public Law, European Law and Comparative Law), “Co-production of knowledge in climate governance” with collaborative partners Prof. Dr. Margherita Poto, Faculty of Law, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, Norway; Dr. Giulia Parola, Faculty of Law, Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil; Dr. Omondi Robert Owino, Law Department, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology School of Law, Nairobi, Kenya; Jane Murungi, School of Law, University of Nairobi, Kenya.
- Prof. Dr. Gesine Lenore Schiewer (Intercultural German Studies), “Sprachen der Mitsprache. Interdisziplinäre Vernetzung von Partizipativer Kommunikation, Informationstechnologie, Ethik und Sozialer Innovation” with collaborative partners Prof. Dr. Etienne Damome, Mediation, Information, Communication, Arts (MICA), Université Bordeaux-Montaigne, France; Prof. Dr. Alain Kiyindou, Director of MICA, Chair of the UNESCO Institute, Université Bordeaux-Montaigne, France; Prof. Dr. Dotsé Yigbe, Linguistics and Literature Studies, Université de Lomé, Togo.
